Cue-Bidding

Cue-Bidding

Barry Onslow is offering a series of sessions on Cue-Bidding in October 2017. In this six-hour, three-part course, participants will explore key aspects associated with cue-bidding. A hands on, guided play approach will be used. Topics covered in these sessions are outlined below.

Parts 1, 2 & 3 are to be taken sequentially, and each part is a prerequisite session for the subsequent lesson.

1. Cue-Bidding Over a Minor - Friday, October 13th - 10:00 to 12:00

  • When to cue-bid after an opponent overcalls your partner's minor suit opening bid. Is your cue-bid asking, or is it telling?
  • Bidding Michaels over your opponent's minor suit opening bid. What type of hand should you hold?

2. Cue-Bidding Over a Major - Friday, October 27th - 10:00 to 12:00

  • When to cue-bid after an opponent overcalls your partner's major suit opening bid. Is your cue-bid asking, or is it telling?
  • Bidding Michaels over your opponent's major suit opening bid. What type of hand should you hold?

3. Cue-Bidding over Preempts - Friday, November 3rd - 10:00 to 12:00

  • Preempts make everyone's bidding more difficult. How can cue-bids assist your bidding after an opponent preempts?
  • How can you use cue-bidding after an opponent makes a two-suited overcall, such as the Unusual 2NT or Michaels? Which bids are natural and which are cue-bids?

Please join Barry on Friday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00 to learn how to improve your use of cue-bidding. To register for this course please complete the Registration Form below.  Fees for this course are $12.50 per session.
