ONLINE GAME SCHEDULE

The ACBL has approved a request to “pool” our online community with neighbouring clubs in Unit 249! This means that more local players have easy access to all online games within Unit 249. These local games within Unit 249 appear in your “ACBL – North America” games list.

The "pooling" of our online community will encourage bigger games, for both the enjoyment of the players and the bottom lines of the clubs. PLEASE support online games from LBC and all our Unit 249 partners whenever you can. We all win when we buy locally! This was a joint effort with the London, Tillsonburg, and Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Goderich, Owen Sound, Kincardine, and Saugeen Shores) clubs, spearheaded by GRBC's “On Track To Online” team. We are now pooled with all the Unit 249 bridge clubs that offer online games.

Visitors from other clubs are welcome to join any of our Online games. However, they will need to be invited by a member from our Unit 249 pooled community.

FALL COURSES AT LBC

The London Bridge Centre is offering several bridge courses this fall.

A Taste of Bridge is a half-day snapshot.

Bridge Basics I is a full introductory course aimed at absolute beginners or those coming back to bridge after a long absence.

Bridge Basics III introduces popular conventions such as Stayman and Jacoby Transfers.

Advancing Your Game - Part 1 This 4-week course is designed for players who have completed several bridge courses and who play duplicate bridge on a regular basis. Bidding and play topics will be reviewed, consolidated, and extended.

Course outlines, dates, and registrations can be found under Learn to Play Bridge/Current Bridge Courses.

Practice and Play

Practice and Play has returned on Saturday mornings. Practice and Play is an opportunity to play bridge for those new to the game or for those who would like to brush up on their bridge skills. This is a casual bridge session with expert guidance provided by Peter Tuttle and Adele Woolfe. Ask questions about your bidding, your play, and of course "What could I have done better?"

This session runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. No pre-registration is required. Feel free to come on your own, with a partner, or even with a table of four.
